Snowdome.

Below are photos taken during our trip to Tamworth Snowdome.  The children all thoroughly enjoyed their play in the snow, watching Sooty & Sweep and being visited by Santa.

Early Years Christmas Play

We hope you all enjoyed our Christmas play "Old Uncle Sam".  The children were all fantastic and enjoyed dressing up in their costumes.  Thank you to parents for providing the wonderful costumes; I'm sure you will all agree they all look the part!!!

Our learning in Reception this half term .

We have been learning about 'Ourselves' in our theme 'This is Me!'. We have all made lots of new friends and settled into school life really well. We have been sharing stories,  acted out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. We have practised our counting, used number lines and sorted objects and made graphs. With Mrs Rai we planted daffodil bulbs to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and will tell you more about that as it nears Spring and had great fun in the hall dancing to rain drop music. To celebrate Harvest we explored vegetables and made vegetable soup, doing the chopping and cutting very carefully. We have all had a super time exploring the outdoor environment as the weather has been so good. Below are some photographs that show how busy we have been.

Our learning this half term in Nursery.

We have also been learning about ourselves in our theme,'This is Me!' We have all settled well into Nursery, making new freinds.  We are learning new routines, finding our way around the school and really enjoying our lovely outside area to play in.  We are learning through play in our various activities both in and outside Nursery.  As you can see from our photographs we have lots of areas to learn and play in. This term we have walked through a texture trail, experimented with Jelly, baked Gingerbread Men and made vegetable soup.  We have used graters and peelers with fruit and vegetables and printed with these also.  Have a look at our photographs to see what we have been doing.

All Change!

Our theme in Reception and Nursery in the second half of the Autumn term is called 'All Change!' Please download the Topic web for the class applicable to you which will tell you all that we will be learning.

Our Inspiration Day!

Nursery and Reception Classes are holding a special Inspiration Day on Wednesday 4th November. All children are invited to come to school in a dressing up outfit - changing their appearance. We will have an informal fashion show for the children's entertainment and take photographs with the digital cameras and share them on our interactive whiteboards. We shall be reading stories such as 'The Mixed Up Chameleon' and 'Winnie The Witch'. It promises to be great fun! Watch this space!
We had had great fun showing off our super outfits during our Inspiration Day!
